ED Tech - Systemwide Float Pool - Night Shift - 262002784 Description: Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the float team, you can fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system to provide critical coverage for employee’s leave of absences, sick calls, and peak service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. Join our Scripps SSRS team as an ED Tech where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This includes the following: - Supports emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed. - Under supervision, assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions. - Performs assessment of vital signs, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings and splints, stool and urine collection. - Prepares patients for examinations/treatments including draping patients, opening sterile supplies, set up and removal of IV's. - Assist in collection of patient history and ensures confidentiality of records. - Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures including changing o...
