Job Purpose: - Drive a commercial waste collection truck to empty dumpsters from commercial sites. Tasks: - Using Front-Load, Roll-Off, or Grapple vehicles to service commercial businesses, picking up Dumpsters - Clean up loose trash or spills that may occur. - Clean trucks or compactor bodies after landfill trips and/or routes have been completed. - Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems. - Drive trucks, following established routes, through residential streets or alleys or through business or industrial areas. - Dump refuse or recyclable materials at disposal sites. - Fill out defective equipment reports, as well as route/productivity sheets. - Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes...
