Sr. Environmental Engineer - Hazardous Waste and Water

Job description

Job Highlights: - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), Stormwater/NPDES, and other applicable waste and water standards. - Conduct environmental inspections (e.g., weekly RCRA container inspections, Satellite Accumulation Point [SAP] audits, wastewater pH monitoring, and Stormwater Best Management Practices [BMPs]) and perform environmental sampling. - Plan, oversee, and review wastewater discharge monitoring and waste characterization testing (e.g., TCLP) for plant processes. - Support key environmental programs, including hazardous waste management, industrial wastewater pretreatment, and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC). - Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies (e.g., Discharge Monitoring Reports [DMRs], Biennial Waste Reports) and maintain online compliance databases. - Collect, track, and analyze environmental data, such as water consumption, discharge volumes, and waste generation trends, to support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. - Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies (e.g., State Ecology or EPA Regional off...
