Job description

Summary: This role is accountable for the overall performance of the manufacturing site and is responsible for the day-to-day plant operations including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, labor management, and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with union leadership and ensures compliance with the collective bargaining agreement while building a culture focused on operational excellence, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: - Lead a strong safety culture focused on zero incidents and full regulatory compliance. - Manage daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, delivery, and cost targets. Drive continuous improvement in productivity, yield, scrap, uptime, and cycle time. - Own site operating budget and cost performance, including labor, overtime, scrap, and operating expenses. Drive cost‑reduction initiatives in partnership with cross‑functional teams - Partner with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and capital planning. - Champion quality systems and structured root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of defects.
