Description St. Croix Health is currently seeking a full-time (0.90 FTE) Lab Assistant to join our team. This position will work primarily days, Monday through Friday, rotating weekends and holidays. Job Summary: This position is responsible for obtaining and preparing specimens for analysis and performing various screening tests. The Laboratory Assistant I will perform laboratory duties with minimal supervision to care for a diverse population of patients of all ages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Collect and accurately label specimens for laboratory testing. 2. Accurately process orders and specimens for testing or referral. 3. Perform required testing in areas where competent. 4.
