JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the Risk Management and Insurance function by managing, collecting, and evaluating data needed for this department and particularly focused on nuclear loss control and insurance programs. This position will report to the Manager, Risk Management and will support the Manager, the Director of Risk Management, and other Risk Management colleagues as needed. The role is an engineering position responsible for coordinating insurance company loss control and inspection services for the nuclear plant facilities as well as handling the day-to-day activities of the nuclear insurance program. A key component of this role will be coordinating and facilitating activities and communications between insurance companies and nuclear plant personnel. The engineer will be knowledgeable in fire alarm/suppression and boiler and machinery systems, with an emphasis on hazard systems typically found in energy facilities with a particular focus on nuclear facilities.
