Newport News, Virginia Location: Riverside Diagnostic Center - Oyster Point (Newport News, VA) Position: Part Time - 30 Hours per week Hours: Hours will fall Monday-Friday 8.5 hours (can be variable) between 7am to 5pm Saturday 730am to 4:00pm: Overview: The Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic center setting is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation. What you will do: - Assists radiologists in performing Radiologic imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice. - Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors.
