The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Part Time Social Services Worker/Relief Store Clerk for the Alexander City Service Center, located in Alexander City, Alabama. Job Summary: Provides social service assistance to eligible clients in the following areas: food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial assistance; interviews clients to determine need and eligibility to receive services; prepares accurate and complete client records; refers clients to community agencies and maintains effective working relationships with the same; ensures compliance with program policies and procedures. Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customers’ questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register.
