Job description

The Blair lab is looking for ambitious individuals to join our research team to help support multiple aspects of ongoing and upcoming projects related to the role of molecular chaperones in in neuropsychiatric disorders including, PTSD and Alzheimer’s disease. Working Title: Research Technician: - Performs standard laboratory procedures such as maintaining cell cultures requiring the use of sterile technique, preparing slides using staining techniques, and performing assays for protein, RNA, DNA, or other cellular components. - Supports general lab maintenance, including helping maintain and calibrate equipment for use. - Helps with lab inventory - assists in ordering and receiving. - Helps with lab organization. - Helps maintain lab compliance. - Performs experiments that contribute publication quality data for ongoing studies. - Assists other lab members in their research projects. - Maintains records of laboratory techniques, observations, findings, and results. Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of laboratory or research experience.
