Job Summary Under general direction of the Senior Associate Dean of Students, the Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) is responsible for managing programs, policies, and procedures relating to student conduct. The Director of OSRR administers the CSU Executive Orders describing disciplinary procedures in a fair, impartial manner and applies these procedures to maintain the integrity and safety of the university community. The Director of OSRR performs professional administrative work involving independent judgment, good communication skills, and the application of sound fiscal management and supervisory skills. The Director of OSRR represents the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities on committees and community initiatives. The nature of the work performed by the Director of OSRR is highly confidential and sensitive and requires collaboration with numerous individuals and offices on campus as well as interacts with the University Legal Counsel, Cal Poly Police Department (CPPD), Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Resource Center, academic deans, and other campus administrators on related concerns.
