Head of Global Lead Buying Freight and Logistic Services

Job description

Your Contribution: - Define and implement the global purchasing strategy for Freight & Logistics Services, including transportation and 3PL warehousing, across all MAHLE Business Units. - Lead global and regional Lead Buyers and oversee the international supplier portfolio for the material group. - Drive global negotiations with top suppliers, ensuring savings, cost avoidance, and alignment with strategic objectives. - Identify and leverage cross‑BU synergies, bundling opportunities, and market potentials to optimize logistics spend. - Review major sourcing decisions, define supplier panels, and ensure establishment and compliance of global master contracts. - Collaborate closely with BU, plant, and central logistics functions, ensuring alignment on requirements, escalations, and strategic priorities. - Develop global standards for purchasing processes, tools, and KPI/reporting structures, including Freight Controlling. - Lead global purchasing projects and report performance, spend results, and strategic initiatives to BU Management and MAHLE Headquarters.
