Organisation: Leicestershire County Council: Work Location: Beaumanor Hall, LE12 8TX Worker Category: Fixed Location Salary: £24,804 - £24,999 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) or £12.85 - £12.95 per hours Working Hours: Hours can include early mornings or evenings ( 6:30-9:30am/ 4pm-7:30pm/ Evening events /day events Contract Type: Casual Closing Date: 30th April 2026 Interview Date(s): To be confirmed About the Role: As a Cook in Leicestershire Traded Services, you will assist the Head chef with the preparation, cooking and distribution of meals, including hospitality catering and special dietary needs. You will also be required to undertake cleaning of premises and equipment. In the absence of the Head chef, you will be required to liaise with the Front of house team regarding their requirements, share this information with catering colleagues, and take responsibility for the operation of the kitchen including the production of food. On occasion, you may be required to work from other Locations within a reasonable geographical distance. A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
