The Law Student will be an integral part of CIRO’s Regulatory team (Montreal Office) and support it in its various activities. Key Responsibilities: - Research case law relating to disciplinary matters - Monitor legislative changes pertaining to the investment and mutual fund industries - Monitor financial news and prepare summaries of relevant information - Design work tools to help the Regulatory team in its work - Support the national background check program - Support teams involved in transferring and performing mutual fund responsibilities at CIRO - All other related tasks Key Skills and Competencies: Must-Haves - Law school degree (undergraduate or graduate), completed or in progress - Knowledge of capital markets regulation or completion of courses on this topic Nice-to-Haves: - Strong analytical and...
