Description YMCA OF MEMPHIS AND THE MIDSOUTH CENTER DIRECTOR: SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for operating all aspects of a YMCA center location. PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Oversees the daily operation of the center with specific focus on member engagement, employees supervision, facility quality, sales and aquatics support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Promote and incorporate the YMCA core values. - Oversee day-to-day operations of branch including supervision of other Exempt Staff. - Ensure branch cleanliness and equipment maintenance. - Monitor and control expenses related to branch according to budget. - Ensure safety procedures are followed and guard against potential risks in all areas. - Develop & provide excellent fitness/aquatics/youth programming. - Enter and process transactions in a timely manner (i.e. new memberships, merchandise sales, non-member participant forms, etc.). - To be held accountable for each financial transaction and account reconciliation of funds taken during your shift for memberships, merchandis...
