Team Lead – Plastics Manufacturing Overview: This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor in all duties, including communication with operations and management and solving or preventing any problems that might occur in the department. Also responsible for assisting in daily production goals and reporting, as well as ensuring a safe working environment for the team. Is a team player who actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values and leads department in replicating these behaviors. Accountabilities: - Be able to direct 3 to 4 people. - Familiarity with all equipment operations in department. - Assist in developing and communicating department goals. - Communicate with operation about possible problems or needs for the department. - Supervise, mentor, and assist other department employees as needed. - Keep track of preventative maintenance checklist. - Ability to learn operation of all equipment and assist in the operation of equipment within the department. - Oversee the activities of all employees as it relates to commodity tallies and keeping team members motivated. - Train future and present scale buyers. - Understand various metal grades and t...
