Term Full Time Position - (1.0 FTE) March 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027 This position is at the L08 level with an hourly pay range of $41.30 to $52.25 (PSAC Bargaining Unit) Reporting to the Manager, First Nation Health Programs, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the Traditional Medicine Program, Traditional Diet Program, and other First Nations culture-based programming offered by YHC. This includes informing patients and families of availability of the traditional foods and medicines, traditional healing options, interpretation and Elder services. The incumbent contacts the helpers/healers of patients’ choice and facilitates traditional healing through foods and medicines. The incumbent will also be responsible for the care and use of the Healing Room and any First Nations ceremonies requested. The incumbent participates in patient care, referrals, planning, counseling and support to First Nation patients and their families as required. The incumbent contributes to the cultural component of the education provided to health care providers and other hospital staff.
