Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Research Associate provides operational support to the laboratory. The Research Associate will perform research experiments as defined by the PI. The Galván Peña lab studies how the microbiota-metabolite-immune system crosstalk in the intestines impacts the rest of the organism. We use photoconvertible mouse models combined with flow cytometry, sequencing and metabolomics techniques to understand the molecular details of gut-to-systems communications. Our studies are both within the context of health as well as metabolic and inflammatory diseases. Candidates of all backgrounds encouraged to apply. This is an open-rank posting (there are 4 levels of Research Associate) - candidates will be hired into the level commensurate with their experience.
