The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Elmhurst University in the greater Chicago area invites applications to join the pool of part-time (adjunct) faculty. Potential courses to teach include: - Linguistics Related to Speech, Language, and Hearing - Language Development and Disorders - Language and Literacy in Young Children: Assessment and Treatment (graduate level) - Bilingual Assessment in Public School Settings (graduate level) Position Status: Exempt: Salary Range: The pay range is $3,800-$4,000 for a standard 1.0 credit (4 semester hour) course. New part-time faculty start at $3,800 (Adjunct Level 1). Work Location: This position is in eligible for remote work. Responsibilities: - Prepares course syllabi for assigned course based on approved course description. - Holds regular class meetings that promote active learning and student engagement. - Creates and administers learning activities; assigns grades based on clear requirements. - Is available for student questions. - Follows University and departmental policies.
