Crane Operator/Material Handler

JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, manually loads and unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, flatbeds, or lifting devices. Reporting to Production Supervisor. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Daily yard operations rigging - Rigger (using hand signals, run chain through shipping spools, tie chains to shackles, guide the forklift operators) - Load and off-load trucks. - Ensure all products have proper identification. - Maintain good housekeeping and organization around the yard. - Move controls to operate powdered trucks, and transport material between loading, processing, and storage areas. - Move levers and controls to operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, spreader bar and swivel hooks, hoist, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material. - Position lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, fiber glass pipe & tanks, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas. - Perform routine maintenance on vehicles.
