JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the management of the daily functions of the department to provide protection of building assets, employees, visitors, and property. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures. Assists in the training of staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures. Promotes visitor and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget. CANDIDATE PROFILE: Education and Experience: Required: High school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in security/loss prevention or a related professional field, or - Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related major; with 1 year of experience in security/loss prevention or a related professional field. - Strong problem-solving skills demonstrating the ability to make sound, well-reasoned decisions through careful evaluation of risks and understanding the impact on security operations. - Must obtain Maryland Guard Card Certification with 30 days of employment with Marriott Headquarters.
