The Ceramics Studio Technicians assist with the general operations of the Ceramics Studio; supporting the Studio Manager and department with operations, materials and equipment. Listing of Various Roles: Glaze Assistant - assists the Studio Manager in mixing and upkeep of all shop glazes and maintenance of all glaze area tools. Plaster Monitor - assists with the general upkeep and support of F11 for student homework and class use. The assistant is trained on all the equipment, and assists students in the use of the lathe, bandsaw, foam cutter etc. This position is also responsible for cleaning and organizing. General Assistant - assists in general duties as needed, focused on- mixing clay, and loading kilns. Summary of Essential Functions: Assist with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the general Ceramics Studio and classrooms, ensuring that the facility is clean, organized and all supplies are stocked and available.
