Job Summary The Accounting Intern reports directly to the Assistant Controller and provides support to the Finance and Accounting team. This role assists with daily operational tasks, contributes to accurate financial recordkeeping, and helps ensure departmental efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Perform general office and administrative duties, including opening mail, filing, scanning, data entry and preparing journal entries. - Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Expense Reimbursement (ER) processing. - Ensure invoices and expenses are properly coded and clearly described to support accurate accounting records, timely payments, and effective monthly reporting. - Learn core AP functions including invoice entry, expense coding, approval workflow, and accounting treatment for various activities, with hands on exposure to the Bank’s AP systems. - Support department team members with additional tasks and projects as assigned. - Follow all current departmental policies and procedures.
