Summary The VIP Interior Mechanic 2 works under general supervision to perform removal, installation, and fabrication of VIP aircraft interior components. This mid‑level technician is proficient at reading blueprints, operating tools, and collaborating with the team to ensure high‑quality completion of VIP interiors. T his is a temporary role, employed through an agency . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform removal, installation, fabrication and refurbishment of aircraft interior components such as galleys, cabinets, lavatories, sidewalls, floors, monuments and decorative finishes. - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, instructions, and work orders to determine specifications. - Manufacture and assemble interior components using wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneers. - Ensure proper fit and alignment of panels, trim, furniture and hardware by drilling, fitting, sanding, and adjusting as needed. - Repair or replace damaged, missing, or defective parts with new or refurbished components. - Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company guidelines and OSHA regulations. - Inspect and troubleshoot interior components, identify dis...
