Classification Title: OPS Healthcare Scribe Job Description: The UF Health is seeking individuals interested in being employed as scribes in the Department of Psychiatry. Responsibilities of the scribe include: The successful candidate must be punctual and maintain an excellent attendance record, must be well-organized, demonstrate personal initiative, and display interest in the overall well-being of the department and the greater health system. Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours weekly between the following dates/times: Monday through Sunday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. - Entering patient rooms with the physician/clinician during patient visits to capture and transcribe medical record documentation in real time using electronic medical record applications. - Using appropriate medical terminology and phrasing to document the physician/clinician’s communication with the patient and details of the visit in the electronic medical record. - Updating patient history and other pertinent health information in the patient record and documenting follow-up instructions under the direction of the physician/clinician. - Perform other related clerical duties to support the physician/clinic...
