Job DetailsJob Location: Camp Menzies - Camp Connell, CA 95223Position Type: SeasonalSalary Range: $16.90 - $16.90 HourlyThis position pays $16.90 hourly when in training, and a $115 daily rate while working at camp. The Lifeguard ensures the safety of campers and staff during all aquatics activities in accordance with American Camp Association standards and council policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor waterfront activities and maintain constant surveillance. Enforce safety rules and swimmer classifications. Conduct daily equipment checks. Respond to emergencies and activate emergency action plan as needed. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age. Current Lifeguard Certification required, or willingness and ability to obtain prior to the start of camp (training can be provided) Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required, or willingness and ability to obtain prior to the start of camp (training can be provided) Current Waterfront Module and Basic Canoeing Certification required, or willingness and ability to obtain prior to the start of camp (training can be provided) Strong observational and emergency response skills.
