Teacher Paid Resident 2026-2027 - ( 260000P5 ) Description Job Overview A Paid Teacher Resident is a year long, full-time position supervised by a university supervisor and Host Teacher. The Paid Teacher Resident will actively engage in the assigned classroom throughout the residency using a gradual release model to assume responsibilities. The Paid Teacher Resident will work with the Host Teacher, teacher leaders, and/or a team of teachers to plan and implement instructional best practices. The incumbent will also provide related educational services for students in assigned grade levels, manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify instructional activities as required as well as carry out a variety of student monitoring and controls activities. Paid Teacher Resident agrees to accept a position (upon successful completion of residency) within FBISD for one year. Typical responsibilities include: Delivering instruction: large-group, small-group, individual, and digital instruction, using the designed lesson plans.
