Shift Supervisor Metals USA -- Gregor Technologies Division is seeking Shift Supervisor in Torrington, CT. Metals USA is a solid, growth-oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace, and fabrication industries. Responsibilities : - Provides constant visibility in the plant and ensures that all plant employees abide by ISO9001/AS9100 procedures and work instructions. - Interacts with all departments to ensure optimal production and on-time delivery schedule. - Inspects work areas and monitors work activities to proactively address safety risks and operational standards. - Engages employees to be proficient in material handling, production processes, machine capability, production reporting, transportation and/or multiple machine operation acquired through considerable experience and/or training. - Strives continually to improve manpower utilization to align with production process in order to positively impact revenue. - Supervises the receipt of incoming material shipments, verifying that appropriate receipt and quality control inspections are completed in a timely manner and appropriate transactions are made to complete the receiving proce...
