Job description

Currently, we are looking for a new team member to join our Buying Department at Pepco as a: Category Manager (Footwear) Your key responsibilities: - Own the Footwear category end-to-end, with full accountability for range selection, pricing, trading performance, markdown strategy, and stock risk management. - Implement mid- and long-term category strategies and lead in-season trading decisions, including range architecture and full-price positioning. - Partner closely with Planning to deliver financial targets and optimise performance. - Analyse weekly and in-season results, recommending and executing corrective actions where needed. - Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer-relevant, value-for-money product ranges. - Oversee product development and selection, ensuring quality, packaging standards, and strong commercial positioning. - Build and manage a competitive supplier base, negotiating pricing and delivery terms to secure margin and speed to market. - Monitor market trends and competitors to strengthen the value proposition and identify sourcing opportunities. - Lead and develop the Category Assistant.
