The Life Cycle Costing Engineer is responsible for evaluating, modeling, and influencing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of mining truck platforms throughout their full life cycle—from concept and design through operation, maintenance, and end-of-life. This role bridges engineering design, reliability, maintenance, and field operations to ensure that design and business decisions are informed by accurate life cycle cost data. By quantifying cost drivers such as component replacement intervals, maintenance downtime, and overhaul strategies, the Life Cycle Costing Engineer supports optimized product designs, improved customer value, and reduced total operating costs. This ‘forward looking view’ is essential for proactive asset management.
