JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Nurse Manager, this position provides professional nursing care and health services, including nursing assessments, examinations, and treatment. Provides patient-focused advice and education. Conducts health promotion and educational outreach. Collaborates with other providers to enable the student to attain and maintain health. As a college health nurse, this position supports the maintenance and improvement of the health of students, identifying and assisting in removing or modifying health-related barriers and supporting early detection and early intervention strategies. Refers students to other resources as appropriate; maintains electronic medical records and ensures compliance with state laws and regulations, SHaW policies and procedures, and program protocols.
