Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Job Summary: The EKG Technician produces recordings of the heart muscle using an electrocardiogram (EKG) to provide data for diagnosis of heart conditions. The EKG Technician functions under the direction of the Cardiology Supervisor. The EKG Technician is proficient in performing 12-Lead EKG's, exercise and pharmacological stress testing and attaches Holter and Event monitor electrodes. The EKG Technician keys information in the computer system, processes and distributes confirmed reports and must participate in quality control.
