POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Nurse Manager ensures expert nursing care delivery supporting staff education, achievement of quality outcomes, evidence-based clinical practice, and leadership. The Associate Nurse Manager supervises team members in their daily activities to ensure the delivery of care according to established departmental policies and procedures. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation and evaluation of patient care services within the assigned unit at the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and in his/her absence. This role is broad in scope and requires the ability to work independently and apply a high degree of judgment. The Associate Nurse Manager serves as a key supportive leader on the unit to ensure the delivery of patient care through the coordination of customer services and the leadership and management of the nursing unit at the direction of the Clinical Manager.
