About the position Location: Katowice: Hybrid model of working: Main Job Purpose: Expedition planner is responsible for transportation order planning. Key Responsibilities: - Transport orders planning, cost checking, spot offers negotiation, on-time checking, updating system, e-mail/call responding - Cost and Service monitoring and improvement activities - Performance monitoring (cost, payload rate and demurrages) - Lead cost/service improvement projects (intermodal, ambient, direct delivery, GPS implementation, system improvement…) - Carriers claims validation - Initiate and follow through re-tendering and carrier performance management - Carrier recharging Typical Activities: So, what does it take to be successful in this role? - Transport order planning, cost checking, spot offer nego, OT checking, updating system, e-mail/call responding - Daily transport planning in TMS and order processing (~80% are automated / semi-automated) - Shipments follow-up and monitoring + communication to SC stakeholders when required - Daily coordination with factories, suppliers and carriers - Daily planning of dedicated fleet - Spot market shipment carrier scouting and cost negotiation - Payload i...
