Elmhurst University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach an undergraduate level geographic information systems course for Spring 2027. GEO 207: Foundations of GIS: An introduction to spatial cognition, conceptualization and representation. Students explore physical and cultural landscapes using various mapping and geovisualization techniques and software tools. The geographic perspective is used to examine a broad range of topics including retail location, crime patterns, access to healthcare and environmental justice. No prerequisites. Position Status: Exempt: Salary Range: The pay range is $3,800-$4,000 for a standard 1.0 credit (4 semester hour) course. New part-time faculty start at $3,800 (Adjunct Level 1). Work Location: This position is in eligible for remote work.
