Position Description At a Glance: Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer (New Product Development) to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass and Seymour Team in Syracuse, NY. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will help design the next generation of electrical infrastructure used in homes, hospitals, data centers, and commercial buildings across North America. This role goes beyond supporting designs — you will lead them. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the development of high-volume electromechanical products from concept through production. You will work closely with product management, electrical engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and suppliers to create solutions that are innovative, manufacturable, and built to perform at scale. If you enjoy solving complex mechanical problems, developing new product concepts, and seeing your designs move from prototype to high-volume production, this role offers the opportunity to do exactly that.
