You may be required to complete a successful Background Check. If you have not done this, you will be required to complete a Personal Risk Assessment and Fair Credit Reporting Act Form. 3. Requires successful completion of Tri-State’s Substation Technician Apprentice Program. - Must have a satisfactory work record. Must successfully pass the following tests: - Transmission “Technical Apprentice Qualification” Test with a 75% or better score. - Transmission “Substation Technician and Substation Apparatus Technician” Practical (hands-on) Test with a 75% or better score OR: Six (6) years of combined education and experience in electrical and electronic field. This would consist of: - the equivalent of technical training received in an Associate Degree program in Electronics Engineering Technology with advance studies in industrial electrical and electromechanical controls and digital systems control logic; AND: 4. Must have and maintain, or be able to obtain within 6 months, a valid Colorado Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement, and no Air Brake restrictions.
