ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time Nursing Service Assistant I - to perform a variety of service activities that facilitate the efficient work flow of multiple nursing units and support patient care. Duties and Responsibilities: Hours: (12 hr shifts) 11a-11:30p EOW & EOH - - Maintains the environment in a clean and sanitary condition. - Transport and maintain equipment. - Stocks and distributes sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, dietary trays and linen. - Harvests placentas and cords for and storage in the freezer. - Rinses and stores soiled instruments for return to Central. - Organizes work areas. - Performs safety and quality checks on equipment. - Cleans shelves, monitors, and storage areas. - Changes full needle boxes. - Empties linen hampers, trash, bio-hazardous waste and disposes of items in assigned areas. - Responds to emergencies and pages in a timely manner, running errands as necessary. - Assists with lifting, positioning, and t...
