Job Requisition ID: 41161: Join Deloitte as a Database Administrator in Sydney, with hybrid working, where you’ll take hands-on ownership of stable, secure and high-performing data platforms while helping reduce risk and strengthen operational resilience. What will your typical day look like? This role is centred on administering and optimising database environments across development, test and production. That could mean monitoring health, capacity and performance, tuning queries and indexes, or identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements. You’ll also manage core controls like access, permissions, encryption, backups and restore validation, with an eye on high availability and disaster recovery readiness. When issues arise, you’ll work across incident triage, restoration, root cause analysis and change management to resolve problems and prevent them from happening again. The work matters because it directly improves reliability, security and business outcomes, while keeping compliance evidence clear, accurate and audit ready.
