When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Farr 3 is a 28-bed inpatient medical surgical unit on the West Campus of BIDMC. As a member of the Farr 3 team, you will be providing acute care to patients with a variety of diagnoses and complex comorbidities, including heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, diabetes, advanced wound care, behavioral health, dementia, and delirium. As a new graduate nurse, professional development and clinical support is provided through unit leadership, a culture of teamwork, and the Transition to Practice Program. The Transition to Practice (TTP) Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is a 12-month program which combines a standard curriculum, provided by Vizient and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), with a unit-based, precepted clinical orientation. Together, these elements provide new graduate nurses an evidence-based program as they transition into the role of a registered professional nurse.
