Job description

Overview POSITION PURPOSE: Ensures entire school/facility is sanitized, cleaned, and maintained (e.g., hard surface and carpeted floors, restrooms, waste disposal, windows, locker rooms, sweeps walkways outside of buildings, monitors grounds, picks up debris, shovels snow, and applies de-icing compounds to walkways, as necessary.) Performs minor or routine maintenance on custodial equipment and reports repairs needed, safety concerns, and school property damage to supervisor. Attends required trainings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs) - Knowledge of the standard methods employed in custodial work, cleaning procedures, and the use of cleaning materials (training will be provided); - Ability to follow instructions; - Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in completing work assignments; - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; - Ability to use all assigned equipment in a safe manner per manufacturer’s specifications; - Ability to be trained in cleaning methods; - A...
