A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a motivated CAD Intern to join our civil Engineering team in our Christiansburg office. This position is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in developing hands-on experience in construction plan drafting and general project support within a civil engineering environment. This internship is designed as a training opportunity with the goal of identifying a strong long-term candidate for future full-time employment. We are looking for someone with strong potential and the ability to learn, even if they do not yet have professional experience. Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing and revising civil engineering construction plans using AutoCAD - Draft plan sheets, details, profiles, and related design documents - Apply established company and industry drafting standards - Incorporate markups and revisions from engineers and project managers - Help create technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation - Assist with preparation of permit applications and submission packages - Support file organization, document management, and other administrative project tasks - Learn how engineering concepts are trans...
