This is a full time day shift working in the COU - Cardiac Observation Unit for Pre and Post Cath Lab patients at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Some weekend call is required Join a group of health care professionals highly dedicated to the positive outcomes of our cardiac patients. Northwest Medical Center provides RNs and clinicians with high acuity cardiac experience or critical care experience wanting to learn and expand skills! What you'll do: The registered nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit provides a high level of care for the Cath Lab patients pre and post procedures. Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. About our Cath Lab & COU: The Cardiac Catheterization Department is composed of 3 catheterization labs as well as one hybrid room and Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) where our patients are prepped for procedures and recovered post procedure.
