Job description

CDR Emergency Management Inc., is seeking qualified Safety Officers to join our team for a debris removal mission. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with OSHA safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, and managing risk on-site. This role is critical to overseeing safety protocols, hazard prevention, and training during this important emergency response mission. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans for the debris mission. - Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local safety regulations. - Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments. - Train staff on safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and emergency response protocols. - Investigate safety incidents and near-misses, recommending corrective actions. - Maintain records of safety incidents, compliance certifications, and training. - Act as the primary contact for all safety-related concerns on-site. - Participate in developing the IAP regarding safety implications.
