POSITION SPECIFICS: Title: ED Technician (full-time): FTE: 0.85 FTE (Part Time): Schedule: Week One: Tues, Wed, Thurs 3 PM to 11 PM, Saturday 7 AM to 3 PM. Week Two: Sun 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday 7 AM-7 PM, Wed and Thurs 3 PM to 11 PM Holiday Rotation: Per unit requirements: Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend: POSITION SUMMARY: To provide quality professional care, comfort, assistance with activities of daily living and rehabilitation for patients, under the supervision of a registered nurse. POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a communication link between departments and other organizations using a variety of communication technologies. Participate in patient care interventions and personal care procedures for patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Duties include: Documenting vital signs, including pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturations. Performing safety checks and assisting patients with ambulation.
