HVAC Mechanic/Stationary Engineer

Job description

Responsible for skilled utilities work in the performance of a comprehensive heating, ventilating and air conditioning system and water, storm drain, natural gas, and building automation. Responsible for operations of a mixed-use utility over a campus style facility. Operates, diagnoses, inspects, repairs, replaces, services and performs preventive maintenance on utilities and HVAC equipment, such as but not limited to: Informs co-workers regarding procedures and/orders of work orders (e.g. computerized energy management systems, research parts/equipment, etc.) for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health, safety, building regulations. Prepares documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, daily paperwork, time and materials, specifications, etc.) as required for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information. Install new parts and equipment as required.
