Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a part-time associate drumming instructor for the Drum Corps of the Pipes and Drums band. The Drumming Instructor works under the guidance of the Lead Drumming Instructor Miles Bennington and the Director, Andrew Carlisle, to elevate the stature of the team in support of the university’s award-winning band. This 10-month, 12 hours per week role, supports instrumental snare drum instruction by contributing to the syllabus that caters to drummers of all levels and assisting in composing drum scores. The role ensures drumming equipment is maintained to support the Corps’ success. In addition to supporting all instructional efforts, this role performs with and supports the band at university, local and national performances. This is a 10-month part-time, non-benefit’s eligible role from mid-August to mid-May.
