Description Position Summary: Purchase all food and beverage products. Analyze prices and quality of products to determine value. It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will assist the Director of Purchasing in maintaining an optimum inventory of food & beverage supplies for the hotel. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP’S). Responsibilities: - Must maintain par stock requirements and inventory turnover standards. - Analyze and select vendors based on pricing, quality and service. - Guarantee that on a daily basis all Food and Beverage requisitions are issued on time and accurately. - Coordinate with the Receiving Supervisor/Clerk that all goods are dated and stored properly. - Maintain the shelving on the food storeroom to assure that the inventory items are sheet to shelves. - Conduct a daily spot check to ensure that all food and beverage storeroom procedures are being followed. - Maintain work area clean. - Participate in month end food and beverage inventories along with the end of month reports. - Grow vendor relationships and understa...
