Description Packager: Substitute position: Status: Reports to Food Services Manager Pay Level 2: Purpose: To provide prompt and attractive packaging for all Grab & Go deli items, adhering to proper food safety and labeling standards. To assist with customer service during rush periods. To help the Deli meet goals for sales, margin, labor expense and customer service. Responsibilities: - Package and label prepared food product following merchandising as outlined by Assistant Deli Manager. - Create and maintain attractive and abundant display of Grab and Go cooler. - Assist customers in finding items. - Report customer suggestions, comments, and/or complaints to Deli supervisor or manager. - Stock Grab and Go cases fully to give feeling of abundance. - Ensure freshness of Grab and Go items by rotating and keeping batches separate by date. - Label or sign items with price and ingredients where appropriate. - Assist with taking customer orders at the deli counter when necessary. - Assist with food preparation in kitchen as necessary. - Perform other tasks as assigned by Assistant Deli Manager. - Attend department meetings. - Be responsible for safety in the workplace by creating a safe...
