General Purpose of Job: The interim assistant director of patient access services is responsible for the daily operations of all functions related to patient healthcare access and revenue cycle at Driscoll Children’s Hospitals. Developing and implementing policies and procedures that guide or support this service. Assesses and improves department performance and ensures orientation and continuing education of departmental staff. This leader serves as the key promoter to service excellence which, along with the team, strives to meet and exceed the needs of their customers. This person may recommend resources/space needed by the department and may participate in the selection of outside services.
