Title: Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach Department: Athletics: Employment Status: Full Time: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt: Reports To: Head Basketball Coach: Job Purpose: Assist the Head Coach with the administration of all aspects of a competitive Division I Men’s Basketball program. Responsibilities include assisting with practice and competition coaching, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes. Additional duties include participation in College fundraising activities, enrollment management, and the promotion of community relations. Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Duties/Responsibilities: Essential Functions Coaching - Communicate effectively with department colleagues and student-athletes. - Assist with the organization and administration of all aspects of the program. - Assist with the development and maintenance of a program competitive within the conference. - Create a safe and positive environment for student-athletes to excel. - Emphasize the Wagner Student-Athlete Ethics & Expectations. - Practice good sportsmanship and maintain professional conduct.
